Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program

The Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program (Type B) is a full scholarship established by the Ministry of Education to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students to pursue postgraduate studies in China. BIT is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake the program to enroll postgraduate students in masters and doctoral programs.

2. What does the full scholarship cover?

-Tuition fees -Accommodation -Comprehensive medical insurance -Subsidy: Master students: RMB 3,000/month Doctoral students: 3,500 RMB/month

3. Who can apply? 

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens, in good health, and abide by Chinese laws and regulations and the rules and regulations of the Beijing Institute of Technology.

2. Applicants for master’s programs should be at least 35 years old; applicants for doctoral programs should be under 40 years old.

3. Applicants for the master's program should have a bachelor's degree or the equivalent educational background of a bachelor's degree. Applicants to the doctoral program should have a master's degree or the equivalent educational background of a master's degree.

4. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs should hold an HSK 

certificate (minimum level 5); applicants for English-taught programs should have a minimum TOEFL score of 80 and an overall minimum IELTS score of 5.5 (except for native English speakers). Or provide other language certificates recognized by BIT.

5. MBA applicants should have at least 1 year of relevant work or internship experience.
